I worked in corporate life in a variety of management roles for over 25 years, starting in retail at J. Sainsbury, moving through IT with DEC (now HP), into telecomms with Mercury (now Vodafone) and finally spent nine years at Microsoft in the UK. In my time I've managed teams of people from two to two hundred, in retail, technical, customer service, and call centre environments.
In 2004 I left Microsoft to work full time for THM, the training business that my wife Terry and I set up together two years earlier. Since then I've delivered training all over the world for various large clients including Microsoft, Disney, BT, Styles and Wood, and Ramboll Environ. Our biggest client is currently StepStone, Europe's leading online job board, where I have been running a management training programme since 2008, and more recently have added problem solving, presentation skills and personal effectiveness workshops to their overall training portfolio.
